What we handle for you

Architect and building surveyor
Coordinated through a single point of contact — you don’t deal with each of them separately.
Building licence
We prepare the documentation with you and support you through the application, so that it is granted before work starts. The licence is in your name.
Utility connections
Paperwork with the water and electricity companies.
Energy performance certificate
Included — it is not a separate step you have to arrange yourself.
Control of every stage
Your site supervision, an independent professional hired in your name, certifies each stage before each payment. We open the site to them whenever they want.

builds at once, at most
We don’t take on more builds than we can look after properly: when we reach the limit, the next one waits its turn.
We don’t join a build as just another trade, without coordinating the whole. And we don’t promise timescales we don’t control: licences and utility connections are shown separately, with their own calendar.
How you will know it is well built
The eight tests
The ones required by regulations are signed off by an independent laboratory; the rest we measure in your house and hand over to you.
Concrete
A sample is taken on site and a laboratory crushes it. Required by regulations.
Steel
Inspection of the structural steel. Required by regulations.
Energy performance certificate
Your home’s official energy label. Required by regulations.
Roof watertightness
No water getting in from above.
Façade watertightness
No water getting in through the windows, which is where it gets in.
Installation leak tests
Pipes are tested at a higher pressure than they will ever have to carry.
Temperatures
We measure what really matters: how it feels inside.
Thermal imaging
If there is a cold spot, it shows up in the photo.
The law requires three of the eight. We do the other five because hardly anyone around here does them, and they are the ones that really tell you what living in your house will be like.
